Brushstrokes of Nature

Born in Africa and now based in New Zealand, my artistic practice is grounded in a lifelong connection to wildlife, landscape, and the natural world.

Working predominantly with Polychromos pencil, while also incorporating chalk pastel, ink, and oils, I create detailed works that explore the beauty, character, and complexity of nature. My practice focuses on capturing the intricate textures, movement, and spirit of wildlife, seeking to convey both realism and emotional resonance within each piece.

My African heritage remains a profound influence on my work. Early exposure to Africa’s vast landscapes, rich biodiversity, and untamed wilderness cultivated a deep respect for the natural environment and continues to shape my artistic perspective. Complementing this connection, my professional role as an Africa Travel Consultant provides

ongoing inspiration through immersive experiences, wildlife encounters, and a continued engagement with some of the world’s most remarkable natural environments. Through a meticulous and observational approach, my work aims to honour the extraordinary detail and quiet narratives found within nature — from powerful wildlife portraits to the subtle elements often overlooked.
