Keelan Walker - Loud Noise Media

I am a Māori filmmaker, artist, photographer, and storyteller based in Te Tauihu, with a passion for bringing the stories of our people, landscapes, and culture to life through both traditional and modern creative mediums. As a descendant of Rangitāne o Wairau, my work is deeply grounded in whakapapa, te taiao, and the belief that storytelling has the power to connect people across generations.

For more than a decade I have worked professionally through Loud Noise Media, creating documentaries, films, photography, digital media, and visual experiences for iwi, community organisations, businesses, and government agencies throughout Aotearoa. I enjoy combining emerging technologies with mātauranga Māori, exploring new ways to share timeless stories through film, projection mapping, interactive installations, and digital art.

Much of my work focuses on preserving and celebrating Māori history, identity, and environmental narratives. Whether documenting significant cultural projects, creating immersive light shows, or producing films that give voice to local communities, my goal is always the same: to create authentic work that inspires, educates, and strengthens connections to people and place.

I also work across branding, photography, web design, and creative direction, offering commissioned projects, collaborative partnerships, workshops, and visual storytelling services. I believe creativity is at its strongest when it brings communities together, and I am always excited to collaborate with organisations and individuals who share a passion for meaningful storytelling.
