Stuart Mccormick

I’m a Marlborough-based filmmaker, photographer, and drone operator with over 15 years of experience creating visual content across film, live events, television, and digital media. Through my production company, Stucam Video Production, I’ve worked on everything from short films and documentaries to commercial campaigns, agricultural content, and live-streamed events.

Film has always been more than just a job for me , I see it as a creative medium that can capture atmosphere, tell real stories, and connect people to places and ideas. I enjoy combining filmmaking, stills photography, and drone cinematography to create visuals that feel cinematic, grounded, and authentic.

A lot of my work takes me into outdoor and rural environments across New Zealand, filming everything from vineyards and farming operations to live events and independent film projects. I’m comfortable working independently on location and handling all stages of production, from shooting through to editing and final delivery.

Alongside commercial work, I continue developing original short films and creative projects set in Marlborough. I’m particularly drawn to stories with strong visual style and atmosphere, often blending elements of noir, thriller, and grounded realism.

Whether I’m behind a camera, flying a drone, or shooting stills photography, my focus is always on creating engaging visual content that feels honest, cinematic, and memorable.
