Marlborough Creative Artisans

The purpose of the Marlborough Creative Artisans is to provide an opportunity and community for creative artisans living in the Marlborough region to display and sell their unique handmade products in Picton, New Zealand.

We hover around 30 members all of whom sell their unique art and craft in a welcoming, friendly space. We support each other's creative endeavours and share our information with each other in an environment of caring and sharing.

We encourage any prospective members to apply for membership on our application form, submitting a blurb about themselves and samples of their work. We maintain a high standard of work and a variety of art and craft in the shop.

The coop has a committee which covers the day-to-day workings of the co-op, and we have 3 monthly open meetings where all members can have input into the running of the co-op.

The shop is staffed by co-op members which is part of the membership to the co-op. This means that our customers get to speak to the artists and can get first hand information about the artist and their work.

We do enjoy some social gatherings like coffee dates where friends and family are welcomed which build that community feel. These are held alternately in Picton or Blenheim.
