Details: Part of the Marlborough Mile project, facilitated by the Blenheim Business Association, this artwork celebrates the New Zealand falcon (kārearea), a familiar presence in Marlborough vineyards where it helps deter pest birds. Marlborough is also home to the Marlborough Falcon Trust, one of New Zealand’s leading organisations dedicated to the conservation and protection of this remarkable native species.
