Details: Facilitated by the Blenheim Business Association, this mural celebrates the pekapeka-tou-roa, New Zealand’s critically endangered long-tailed bat (Chalinolobus tuberculatus). Pelorus Bridge Scenic Reserve is home to one of the last remaining populations of long-tailed bats in Marlborough, which can sometimes be seen at dusk on warm evenings, flying through the forest canopy or along the river.
