Details: The Tauihu represents the whakapapa recorded by Rangitāne ancestors during the 19th century. It honours female tupuna Hinepango, Ruamate and Hinerewha, alongside Te Heiwi. Like Tūkauāe, Te Heiwi is a unifying figure, representing the connections and collective strength of the many Rangitāne whānau.
